Boeing failed 33 of 89 inspections by the US Civil Aviation Administration, writes the New York Times.

Inspectors noticed how mechanics lubricated the seal with liquid soap and checked the tightness with a plastic card. The check was carried out after frequent incidents with the company’s aircraft - loose bolts began to be found in the planes, during flights the engines of the airliners caught fire and parts fell off.
